People. Purpose. HBCUs.
Three commitments that hold H&S Capital Enterprise accountable to the community we exist to serve. Not slogans. Not aspirations. The standards we operate to — and the standards you are welcome to hold us to.
Building Wealth. Supporting HBCUs. Closing the Gap.
People.
The families we serve. The strategists we train. The communities we call home.
Every commitment starts with a person. For H&S, that means HBCU families first — alumni, parents, faculty, business owners — followed by the strategists who serve them and the neighborhoods that shape them.
Family-first strategy
Plan-before-product methodology on every engagement, every time. Education first, options second, decisions on your family’s timeline.
Licensed, disclosed, accountable
Life & Health licensed strategists. A-rated carrier partners only. Full written disclosure of carrier compensation before you sign anything.
Strategist development
We recruit and train the next generation of HBCU-rooted financial strategists so our community is served by people who look like our community.
Purpose.
Close the wealth gap. Return capital to HBCU institutions. Fund the next generation.
H&S was not founded to be a financial services firm. It was founded to be a wealth-gap-closing firm that happens to use financial services as the instrument. That distinction shapes every strategy, every partnership, every hire.
Education as the on-ramp
The Wealth Yard — our HBCU-focused literacy hub — delivers the Four Enemies of Money curriculum, quarterly webinars, and free educational content to any HBCU family who wants it.
Institutional capital return
We facilitate member-directed giving to HBCU institutions, amplify with corporate matching where available, and publish a quarterly impact report so every dollar is traceable.
Community over quarterly
We serve the HBCU community before we serve any quarterly target. If a strategy is right for the community and wrong for the quarter, the community wins.
HBCUs.
99 Forward — measurable, direct investment in every accredited HBCU by 2030.
The third pillar isn’t abstract. It has a name, a scoreboard, and a deadline. 99 Forward is our multi-year commitment to bring on-campus financial literacy programming, scholarship sponsorship, and member-funded giving to every one of the 99 accredited HBCUs across the U.S. and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Campus financial literacy
On-campus workshops led by H&S strategists covering credit, early-career investing, and post-grad financial planning — free to every HBCU student.
Scholarship sponsorship
A portion of every plan H&S implements funds an annual scholarship pool distributed across HBCU institutions in proportion to member alumni participation.
Member-directed giving
Members can direct year-end carrier bonuses to a specific HBCU. We facilitate the tax-deductible transfer and amplify with corporate matching where available.
A commitment you can’t measure isn’t a commitment.
Every quarter we publish an impact update — campus workshops delivered, scholarships awarded, dollars directed to HBCU institutions, and progress against the 99 Forward roadmap. If we say it, we count it. If we count it, we publish it.
